SCALA has run Supply Chain Best Practice Forums in the Grocery and Home Appliance sectors for many years where we bring together senior delegates on a quarterly basis to share their knowledge and experience with others in the industry.
The first meeting of SCALA’s new Best Practice Forum for small- and medium-sized 3PLs on 12th October saw a fantastic range of businesses come together to discuss the major challenges the industry is currently facing.
Our Forums offer an environment where members can share their experiences, ask questions, learn from others and share best practice and this session was no exception. Amongst other topics, the SCALA team presented:
⚫ The latest innovations in Automated Warehousing and the benefits that can be achieved through investing in even a small amount of technology
⚫ A fascinating data-driven examination of the current state of the market
⚫ A look at the opportunities available to benchmark specific areas of the supply chain which are included in Forum membership
There was also a lively discussion around the current burning issues that logistics companies are facing and the solutions they are trying to resolve them.
Alongside the structured sessions there was plenty of time for networking – we know our members really appreciate the opportunity to talk to others with a common interest in getting the absolute best out of their supply chain and logistics operations.
