The first Best Practice meetings for 2024 were held this week for our Grocery & FMCG and Home Appliance & Homeware groups. We had a great turnout and a packed agenda for both session with topics including::
🔘 A review of how Christmas (and Black Friday) went for our members last year (and a look at what might be done differently this year!)
🔘 A session from SCALA’s automation gurus demonstrating the range of benefits that can be gained from investing in even very low levels of automation in your operation (as well as a look at some of the super-innovative high-tech options available!)
🔘 Our regular update from SCALA Associate Kirsten Tisdale on the latest supply chain and logistics data that she lives and breathes, which is always a valuable and fascinating session
🔘 A welcome update from Kerry Logistics for our Home Appliance group to talk through what is currently happening in the turbulent world of sea freight
🔘 A supply chain update from the Distribution Director of one of our grocery members’ major retail customers.
We also had our usual Market Updates session, an opportunity for members to ask questions or raise any issues they are facing to see whether others in the group have found a solution.
Our next meeting for these supplier Forums is in May and meanwhile, we are now looking forward to the upcoming meeting of our recently-established Best Practice group for small- to medium-sized 3PLs.
