SCALA no longer run the fresh connection as a UK competition. However SCALA does provide independent objective expertise in supply chain strategy and the “end to end” management of total supply chains.
Earlier this year over 180 participants from Cadbury, Kraft, HJ Heinz, Kimberly Clark, Constellation Wines, Wincanton and many other companies competed in the UK Fresh Connection competition.
Fresh Connection is an exciting and highly acclaimed business simulation that has proved extremely successful in its first year in the UK providing real learning and the importance of supply chain in the success of a business.
All current participants have said they will be entering teams again next year and Kimberly Clark is running an “in house” version with around 50 participants. The simulation credibility has been confirmed with Huddersfield University including it as a module in their 2010-11 supply chain degree courses
Interest for 2011 is immense and we expect over double the participants including several companies running internal competitions. The programme is also being run in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, USA, Canada, South Africa and Australia with UK Finals in July and the International Final in September in Italy.
