Supply Chain 'Best Practice' and Benchmarking

SCALA's Supply Chain Benchmarking involves many of the top brand companies in the UK and allows them to compare their performances with similar organisations and competitors from their own market sector and from other complementary sectors. The results of the detailed analysis can be used to drive business improvements and direction, reduce costs and increase levels of customer service.

The SCALA methodology and benchmark comparisons are annually based incorporating over 40 different Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) encompassing Forecasting, Inventory, Customer Service, Logistics Costs and Performance Ratios. All the information is assured as totally confidential to each company.

The Benchmarking involves comprehensive data collection with a SCALA verification process which ensures meaningful comparisons can be drawn to identify and drive improvements.

SCALA have also managed as part of the Department for Transport sustainability programme a series of KPI comparisons involving monitoring over 10,000 vehicles.

SCALA also manage 'Best Practice' forums designed for companies to share and learn best practices.
